Slowing Down….I Don’t Think So

As Autumn approaches and Summer fades the world seems to slow down towards Winter’s sleep. The children have returned to school and most people have had the excitement of their summer holidays (unless you live in the southern hemisphere, of course,) but I’m not feeling that slowing down myself. There’s always something that needs to be done and done now. I imagined that growing older meant less to do. Haha! The ignorance of youth. But, to be truthful, if I didn’t have every minute accounted for I would be bored senseless. Thank goodness for crafting!

When I first discovered Ravelry and Indie Dyers I bought in a frenzy, funds permitting. It was all so exciting. Now I look at my stash and take great satisfaction in using it up. This hot water bottle cover was made with leftovers from Frida’s Flowers Blanket by Janie Crowfoot. I didn’t use a pattern, just made it up as I went along and I’m very happy with it

Last weekend was my elder daughter’s birthday, 38th birthday to be precise. I can’t quite believe it! We had a lovely time. It was a reminder of how fast the years pass and how we should make the most of every minute. So enjoy your weekend everybody. Until next time x
