Loving Lace Weight

I expect, like me, you all have a precious stash of special yarns that are awaiting the perfect project. I was given a skein of natural, undyed lace weight merino and then fell in love with a hand dyed skein by Rhapsodye Yarns. Needless to say , I purchased it. Several years later the right project came along…Luberon by Bernice Lim. It’s a delicate summery knit with pretty lace details. The original is knitted in one colour but I decided I could use my two quite effectively.

My shoulder section is finished and I now have to pick up stitches for the body. As you can see below, I knitted a swatch of the main colour which looks gorgeous!

This has put me in the mood to try patterns from the Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible. This will involve learning lots of new symbols. Believe me, there are loads!!

I want to try them all…

In my non crafty life I have been out and about enjoying the beautiful South Downs, learning new cooking techniques to cope with the gluten-free life we now have to lead, and starting intermittent fasting, too. The first few days weren’t the best but I am starting to feel some benefits now. So hopefully I can maintain this regime.

Lace like tendrils.

Off to do some baking now because we all need cake;) Enjoy your week, everyone.
