Our long awaited holiday has come and gone. What a great week we had in East Anglia. So much history, national and personal, and pretty villages to see. We also had a fascinating day in the city of Norwich (that was the very rainy day). The cathedral was beautiful and the castle museum just brilliant.

Having been a very important centre of the wool trade it wasn’t long before I found evidence of this. I’ve been to Lavenham a couple of times but never had a look round the fabulous Guildhall. I was thrilled to see all the woolly goodness inside.

For all you history buffs like me here are a few pictures from Sutton Hoo. I was so excited to be going here. It was something I’d wanted to do for a very long time.
